The first lunar eclipse of the year 2013 will take place on 25th April 2013. It will be the first of three lunar eclipses in 2013. It will be a partial Lunar Eclipse in which only a tiny sliver of the Moon will be covered by the Earth’s umbral shadow at maximum eclipse, but the entire northern half of the moon will be darkened from being inside the penumbral shadow.

This is the second shortest partial eclipse of the moon for the 21st century, which would be lasting for just 27 minutes.

அதுமட்டுமல்ல; "தமிழக அரசியலைப் பொறுத்தவரையில் ஆட்சி மாற்றத்துக்கு இடமில்லை. ஆனால் அடிக்கடி மந்திரி சபை மாற்றம் ஏற்படலாம். மந்திரி பதவியில் இருப்பவர்கள் விடிந்து எழுந்ததும் வாசலில் போலீஸ் பாதுகாப்பு- செக்யூரிட்டி இருக்கிறதா என்று ஜன்னல் வழியே எட்டிப் பார்த்துவிட்டுத்தான் பல் தேய்க்கப் போவார்கள்' என்றும்; "முந்தைய அரசின் முன்னாள் அமைச்சர்கள், அதிகாரிகளுக்கு கெடுபிடி நடவடிக்கைகள் அதிகமாகும்' என்றும் எழுதியிருந்தேன். இதுவும் அப்படியே நடந்தது.

மத்திய அரசில் நெருக்கடிகள் மிகமிக அதிகமாகக் காணப்படும் என்றும்; கூட்டணி அரசுக்கு ஆதரவு கொடுத்துவரும் மற்ற கட்சித் தலைவர்கள் அடிக்கடி பயமுறுத்துவதும் ஆதரவை விலக்கிக் கொள்ளும் நிலை ஏற்படும் என்றும் எழுதியிருந்தேன். (உதாரணம்- மம்தாபானர்ஜி). மறுதேர்தல் அறிவிப்பு வரை தற்போதைய மத்திய அரசுக்கு ஆபத்து ஏதும் வர வாய்ப்பு இல்லை என்றும் குறிப்பிட்டிருந்தேன். அப்படியே மத்திய அரசு நித்திய கண்டம் பூரண ஆயுசாக தப்பிவிட்டது.

வரும் 2013 புது ஆண்டிலும் விலைவாசி ஏற்றம், மளிகைப் பொருள், பெட்ரோல், டீசல், கேஸ் விலையேற்றம், தங்கம், வெள்ளி விலை உயர்வு, போன்றவை தொடர்கதைதான்.

இவ்வருடம் குருப்பெயர்ச்சிக்குப் பிறகு (2013- மே) மத்திய- பாராளுமன்றத் தேர்தல் வரும். மத்தியில் ஆட்சி மாற்றம் ஏற்பட வாய்ப்பு இருக்கிறது. எந்த ஒரு கட்சிக்கும் தனி மெஜாரிட்டி கிடைக்க இடமில்லை. ஒட்டுப் போட்ட சட்டை மாதிரி கூட்டணிக் கட்சிகளே ஆட்சி பீடத்தில் அமரும். பழைய ஆளும் கட்சி எதிர்கட்சியாகவும், புதிய கட்சி கூட்டணி ஆட்சி அமைக்கவும் வாய்ப்பு இருக்கிறது.

தமிழக அரசைப் பொறுத்தவரை ஆட்சி மாற்றம் வராது. ஆனாலும் கடந்த வருடம்போல மந்திரிகளை மாற்றுவதும் இலாகாக்களை மாற்றுவதுமாக துக்ளக் அரசு நடவடிக்கைகளாக அமையும். அரசு வார்த்தையளவில் நல்ல நல்ல திட்டங்களை வெளியிடுமே தவிர, செயல் வடிவில் இடம் பெறுவதும் எதிர்பார்க்க முடியாத அம்சம் ஆகும். அப்படியே ஒருசில திட்டங்கள் செயல்பட்டாலும் பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்களைப் போய் சேருவதும் கஷ்டம்! இந்த வருடம் கடந்த வருடம்போல மின்வெட்டு அதிகம் இருக்காது. கூடங்குளம் அணுமின் உற்பத்தியும் சூரிய கதிர் மின் உற்பத்தியும் (சோலார்) பற்றாக்குறையைச் சரிக்கட்டும்.

2009-ல் பாராளுமன்றத் தேர்தலில் கூட்டணி சேர்ந்த கட்சிகள் அடுத்து வரும் தேர்தலில் மாற்றுக் கூட்டணி அமைத்துப் போட்டி யிடும். எந்தக் கட்சிக்கும் தனி மெஜாரிட்டி பலம் கிடைக்காது. மத்தியில் ஆட்சி அமைக்கும் கூட்டணி குதிரை பேரம் நடத்தும்.

கடந்த பத்தாண்டுகளாக பல முறைகேடுகளினால் தொழில் செய்து திடீர் குபேரனாகிய கோடீஸ்வர தொழிலதிபர்கள் தண்டனைக்காளாகி, சொத்து சுகங்களிலும் இழப்புகளைச் சந்தித்து விலாசம் இல்லாதவர்களாக ஓரம்கட்டப்படுவார்கள். மதுவிலக்கை அமல்படுத்த அரசு ஆலோசனை செய்தாலும், மாற்று வருமான வழிகளை முறையாகத் திட்டமிட முடியாத நிலையில் மதில்மேல் பூனையாகத் தயங்கும்.

புயல், சூறாவளி, கடும் மழை, இடி, மின்னல் போன்ற இயற்கைச் சீற்றங்களாலும், விபத்துகளாலும், அக்னி பயம்- பட்டாசு ஆலை விபத்து போன்றவற்றினாலும் உயிர்பலிகள் அதிகம் ஏற்படலாம். கொலை, கொள்ளை, வழிப்பறி போன்ற அசம்பாவிதங்களும் சர்வசாதாரணமாக நடக்கும். நீர்வளம்- மழைவளம் வரும் ஆண்டில் பஞ்சம் இருக்காது. விவசாயம் செழிப்பாக இருந்தாலும், அரிசி விலை ஏற்றமாகவே இருக்கும். கல்வி நிலையங்கள், நிதி நிறுவனங்கள், குவாரி தொழில் ஸ்தாபனங்கள், ஈமுகோழி நிறுவனங் கள், போக்குவரத்து சம்பந்தப்பட்ட அமைப்புகள் ஆகியவற்றில் அரசின் கெடுபிடி நடவடிக்கைகள் உண்டாகும். இவற்றில் தப்பு செய்தவர்களுக்கு தண்டனை கிடைக்கும்.

I know this is bit tricky, it's something like Unorthodox (WI) vs Orthodox (SL) in Batting, and Unorthodox (SL) vs Orthodox (WI) in Bowling. I think as lots of matches has been played in the Premadasa Stadium the pitches in the ground are becoming the pitches that supporting to the bowlers. So Sri Lanka will use their bowling attack than the batting to win this match. but it will not be an easy task to them to beat west indies. but somehow with the chock a block crowd support Sri Lanka will make it to another final in a World Cup.

India vs South Africa

Battle between Batsmen. Both side consist of good batting line up with few all rounders. but South African bowling unit is far better than India's on and off bowling unit. I feel like though Indians are good in sub continent pitches, South Africans will manage to pull this one off and enter in to the T20 World cup final. South African bowling attack will destroy Indian batting line up and the batsmen of South Africans will play very intelligently to the Indian Bowlers. At this time South Africa is not the team who came to Sri Lanka at the beginning of this world cup, They totally adhere to the conditions and once they settles in , it's very tough to beat them.

Finally we have came to end of the tournament. It's the Big Final on 7th of October 2012, Local time is 8.00 PM. We can expect surely the full house capacity in the grounds because home team made in to the finals. Which team will go to the Cricket History as the winners in 2012 T20 World Cup ?

Finals : Sri Lanka vs South Africa

Okay, here we go with my final prediction of this tournament. Hardest prediction ever, because both teams deserves to be in the Finals. though South Africa beaten by Sri Lankans in the preliminary round with a very close match (According to my predictions :) ) Sri Lankan also know that it's not easy to play with Africans. And South African players in two minds. one is they will feel they are tagged as Chokers, and it will be bit stress, and also they will feel and they will up their morals by thinking, "we will remove the chokers tag today for sure" and they definitely do not want to take that burden forward.

So we will think about the both teams now, and both teams and also wining of this format of cricket always depend on the All Rounders. Sri Lanka have Angelo Mathews, Thisara Perera, Jeewan Mendis South African have JP Dumini, Jacque Kallis, Albie Morkel.

In fast bowling we can say that Lasith Malinga, Nuwan Kulasekara will be a big strength for Sri Lanka as well as Morne Morkel, Dale Steyn for South Africa.

In Spinning attack Rangana Herath, Akila Dananjaya, Ajantha Mendis and for South Africa Johan Botha, Robin Peterson, JP Duminy.

In batting if Mahela, Sangakkara and Dilshan in a good form at this point just think how much effect it to the opposition. Not only Sri Lankan batsmen, if AB Deviliers, Albie Morkel, Jacque Kallis also in a good form hope you can understand how much the threat it will be.

So looks like both the team evenly match. and very hard to select a winner by words. isnt it ?

But anyway i want to finish what i started, if i did not predict this one, this whole post is useless :) . So here is the prediction. Though Sri Lankans bowling were the strength throughout the tournament, in this match Sri Lankan batsmen will put up their maximum effort. but the bowlers also will play a key role to make the South African batsmen to make more mistakes at crucial times of their inning.
 
This also will be a very close match, but finally Sri Lanka will be hold their nerves to became the Champions of World T20 2012. And the crowd will be over the moon and whole island will lighten with their teams' achievement. and the South African will have to keep their tag "Chokers" until the next big event comes to prove they are not the "Chokers"

Pongal is a harvest festival – the Tamil equivalent to Thanksgiving. In an agriculture based civilizations of the harvest plays an important role. By the farmer cultivating his land depends on cattle, timely rain and sunshine. Once a year, thanked them during the harvest festival. To wet Margazhi (mid-December to mid January), the new Tamil month of Thai heralds a series of festivals. The first day of this month is a holiday as “Pongal Day” known. Pongal means “boiling” milk and rice during the month of Thai.
 

According to the program based on the solar year is divided into two halves following the apparent motion of the Sun and from north to south. The farmer and the latter is called Uttarayanam Dakshinayanam. The first day of the Thai, the Sun leaves the zodiac sign of Sagittarius and enters Capricorn, which is known as Makaram. The event is celebrated as Pongal.
 

The four-day celebration of Pongal marks a period of abundance, peace and happiness. This is a Tamil saying: “Thailand peranthal Perakum Vali.” This means that paraphrased earlier this month in Thailand, no peace, happiness, prosperity, brightness and harmony in our lives. We honor the sun for a good harvest. Families gather to rejoice and share their joy and their harvests with others. The Sun is offered a “Pongal” of rice and milk.
 

The preparations for this party started early and the first thing is still in Hindu homes before the start of Pongal is the “Kolam”. It is a form of decoration for Indian households. This decor is made with rice flour and is usually drawn on the floor in front of the door. The Kolam as a symbol of welcome to visitors at the entrance of the house. The center of the Kolam is a piece of cow dung, which is a pumpkin flower with five petals symbol of fertility and an offering of love to the presiding deity.
 

The houses are cleaned and decorated to make Pongal. For the festival, the Hindu women buy new clothes and prepare sweet home. There is also a belief in the Hindu festival of the harvest will bring a wealth and goodness of his house. The four days of Pongal have their own significance as separate deities are worshiped by every day.
 

The first day is celebrated as Pongal Bhog and is generally intended for domestic activities and of being together with family members. This first day is celebrated in honor of the Lord Indra, supreme ruler of clouds that give rains. The second day is known as “Pongal” the most important day of the festival, where they offer prayers to the sun. On this day, the sun gives great importance, so the day is called Surya Pongal.
 

The third day is Mattu Pongal known as the day of Pongal for cows. The cattle are washed, their horns are painted and covered with shining metal caps. Kanu Pongal, celebrated the same day Maatu Pongal is celebrated by sisters for the sake of his brothers. This festival is reminiscent of Raksha Bandhan and Bhai Dooj of North India.

Guru Gobind Singh's birth took place on the 23rd day of the Nanakshahi month Poh, on 7 Sudi, or the 7th day of waxing moon, in the year 1723 of the Vikram Samvat calendar. The Western Julian calendar in use at the time determined his birth to be December 22, 1666.

In 1988 Pal Singh Purewal developed the Nanakshahi calendar whose months are named for those in scripture of Guru Granth Sahib. The Nanakshahi calendar was an attempt to fix gurpurab dates to the modern day western Gregorian calendar and sparked ongoing controversy. ThaiPusam (Thai Pusam) is celebrated on 7 February 2012 (Tuesday). 'Thai' refers to the tamil month and 'Pusam' refers the name of the star. On this day special puja, abhishekam, yagna, archana and deeparadhanai is held for Lord Muruga.
