School Time in Madurai gets New Start Time : 08:30 AM Morning - Madurai Collector Announced the Changes in School Start Time from July 1st 2013

Madurai Collector has ordered 61 Schools in the city to start classes at 8.30 am instead of the regular time of 9 am effective from July 1, 2013 (Monday).

As many students travel by private buses, there is huge traffic congestion in the city during this time. The matter was taken to the notice of Collector Anshul Mishra. The Collector ordered a meeting of Education Department, Transport Dept and Traffic Police to find a solution Based on the recommendation of the meeting, the School Opening times of 61 Schools were changed to 8.30 am from July 1st, 2013

 The 61 schools whose timing has been changed are:
