Tamil Nadu Government has declared holiday to all Schools and Colleges in Coastal Districts of the state tomorrow November 1, 2012 (Thursday)
This includes Chennai, Kanchipuram, Cuddalore. The decision was taken in the Neelam Cyclone Meeting chaired Chief Minister Jayalalitha.
Nilam Puyal is likely to cross near Chennai today at around 5.30 pm IST. Tress might get uprooted and fall at many places
Heavy rains are expected to continue for 12 hours after landfall (when cyclone crosses land)
TN Govt has said all the employees in Govt Offices in Chennai can return home immediately today. It also advised Private Institution employeess to return home immediately.
